ABSTRACT

The emergence of mobile health applications (MH-Apps) has enhanced the healthcare field's services, particularly in the treatment, diagnosis, and follow-up. AMAN Mobile Health Application (AMAN MH-App) is one of the health-tech solutions used to fight the Coronavirus pandemic. It has a built-in feature to track users' activities to protect users from contacting an infected person. However, the acceptance of AMAN MH-App in Jordan is still in an early stage, and the number of users has reached 15% of the country's population. Therefore, this study aims to assess the use of AMAN MH-App among young people using the quantitative method. A total of (450) valid samples participated in the study after removing 33 invalid samples. Smart-PLS 3.2.7 was used for data analysis. The findings showed that all independent variables (Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use value, Subjective norms, Perceived behavioral control, Information Credibility, and Optimism) positively impact on the dependent variable (Behavioural Intention to use AMAN MH-App). We believe that AMAN MH-App's information's credibility (i.e. providing up-to-date, authoritative, accurate, and trustworthy information) will increase the number of the App's users. The results of this research can be applied to similar context and applications in different countries.

ABSTRACT

Energy wastage through irresponsible smartphone use comprises a significant sum. Using a secondary desk-based literature review, this paper evaluates contemporary literature to calculate an approximate estimate of the amount of energy wasted through irresponsible smartphone use by US users on an annual basis. Conservative estimates purely based on overcharging of smartphones in the US suggest that the figure is in excess of US$400m per annum. A variety of factors contribute to irresponsible smartphone use, which are predominantly behavioral in nature. This paper highlights some of the impacts of excessive smartphone use and considers steps which might be taken by users themselves to reduce energy wastage during smartphone use. In addition, suggestions are made to manufacturers to help them ‘nudge' users into more responsible behavior through the principles of behavioral economics. © 2022. All Rights Reserved.

A total of (887) questionnaires were valid for analysis out of (920) questionnaires distributed randomly in (13) banks in Amman-Jordan from the customer perspective. The findings revealed that there was a significant positive impact of e-personalization and e-customization on e-customer satisfaction. ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Covid-19 is a severe acute respiratory infection spreading worldwide. Sufficient dentists' knowledge, attitudes and correct practices are crucial for the prevention of Covid-19 in Saudi Arabia and all other countries. The objectives of this study were to understand the levels of knowledge, awareness and attitude of dentists in Saudi Arabia regarding Covid-19, and to investigate their treatment approaches in dental practices both before and during the pandemic. METHODS: This questionnaire was prepared in May 2020 and distributed to dentists working in Saudi Arabia who were members at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and Saudi Dental Society. In order to pick the study subjects from our sampling frame, a simple random sampling methodology was used. The questionnaire comprised of a series of questions pertaining to sociodemographic characteristics, the knowledge and attitudes of dentists toward Covid-19, and dental approach before and during the pandemic. The data was statistically analysed to determine any significant association between the dentists' workplace and the measures followed in the dental clinic (P < 0.05). RESULTS: Four hundred and twelve dentists completed the questionnaire forming a response rate of 52%. The majority of dentists showed a high level of knowledge, attitude and awareness regarding Covid-19. There was an association between the workplace and preventive measures in the dental clinic (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The majority of dentists in this survey had high knowledge and awareness of Covid-19. Most of them followed the recommended preventive measures in their clinics. As Saudi Arabia still suffers from outbreaks of Covid-19 infection, continuous assessment of dentists' knowledge and practice is crucial.
